pier jumping kite surfers and 50 knot wind!

What a windy week. The wind just continues to pour on through.. The start of the week saw 2 kite surfers make the news at ten by jumping over a pier, then today here at Aberdyfi and Borth we get regular 50 knot gusts throught the day. It just doesnt get much windier than that!!

What a week!!

Its been a awesome week here in Aberdyfi and Borth. With solid winds for over a week every day. We finally caught up with our lack of teaching earlier in the month, and have ran courses full time, fully booked for the last 8 days. No wind today, so cancelled, but to be honest we need the brake! On the plus side, the wind should be back tommorow and lessons start again.
We have a very limited spaces left for the end of August, so csll quickly to book in. Or leave it till September and make the most of the star of autumn and classic sailing conditions! Weve allready had two days reach 40 knots this week, so the small kites are getting used all ready, Happy Dayze :)

Fancy a change from the beach! If theres no surf or wind, and weve had enough of flat water supping, were always out on the bikes. Were lucky enough to be based amongst somne of the countries best mountain biking. Be it the climachx trail, Nant yr arian or Coed y Brenin near dolgellau, or miles and miles of virtually secret routes all over the local mountains. If you need a guide to show you round, just ask, if were to busy, we have some other hot local riders that know the area and will happily be your guide for the day. ( theres always plenty of good pubs to quenche your thirst at the end of the day to)!

Sup'ping at the grave yard beach, Aberdyfi. Photo kindly taken by Robin of Natural light photography.
A great way of having fun in small waves,(or big waves)!

Kite surfing in Aberdyfi/ynys las estuary!
Its not all kite surf!! We have miles and miles of perfect beaches here in mid wales, and kite buggying is a great fun and easy to learn sport. A day will take you from being a kite novice to piloting your buggy around tghe beach in control!
